    is it possible to use two different shades of limewash? like if i wanted more depth and dimension could i use two different shades of grey? alternating at some point? or would it be better to just start with a medium grey base color on the wall and just limewash over that with a darker color?

    • @bauwerkcolour
      @bauwerkcolour  2 года назад +1

      Yes you can layer up the Limewash - better to use 2 different colour limewashes

    hey. what are the walls of the actual studio you are in is that juat plasterd wall?
    also I have a concrete effect paint on a feature wall. so it has texture on the wall. can I limewash directly onto this if I wanted to keep the wall concrete texture or must I prime over it first and then limewash over the primer? thank you

      The walls in our studio are old historic walls, not painted -you can paint our most walls to get a textured wall

    Hi, is this lime coat over a primed surface?

    • @bauwerkcolour

      Yes, it is over 2 coats of a undercoat Sealer for drywall or gyprock

    Hi if my walls are already painted white do i still need primer?

    • @bauwerkcolour
      @bauwerkcolour  3 года назад

      It depends on the type of wall you are painting, if it is drywall and it has ben correctly primed with 2 coats of a good quality undercoat sealer, then you can paint directly onto it or over our Prep Coat

    I need this on my house, what would you recommend to seal it to protect it from normal household use?

    • @bauwerkcolour
      @bauwerkcolour  11 месяцев назад

      We don't usually recommend sealing as it changes the finish . Matt top coat can be used for high traffic areas

    hi! Can I put Limewash paint directly to a primed concrete wall ? If yes, should I wet first the surface before applying? And does this has to be sealed after?

    • @bauwerkcolour
      @bauwerkcolour  2 года назад +1

      If the concrete is primed no need to use water first - no need to seal after

    Hi i'm looking to create a staging wall just like this using your limewash product. Can I lime wash plywood?

    • @bauwerkcolour
      @bauwerkcolour  3 года назад +1

      Yes you can, 1. if you wish to see the look or the pattern of the Ply, then paint direct onto the Ply 1-2 coats. 2. If you don't wish to see the Pattern of the Ply then use 1 coat first of our Bauwerk Prep Coat. 3. f your Ply has putty or repairs or jointing compounds . 2 coats of a primer, then 1 coat Prep Coat then 2 coats Limewash

    Why not do complete vertical top to bottom pass and then move across left to right, thus avoiding the entire middle lap mark

    • @bauwerkcolour
      @bauwerkcolour  3 года назад

      You can try that, I guess you have to make sure the line in the middle is not too obvious when the whole wall is finished, as it works best to work wet on wet
